![]() Fines have reportedly often escalated into thousands of dollars due to the failure of the account holder to act by contacting ISTHA about the violation. ![]() If the account holder fails to contact the tollway authority by the due date on their violation notice, additional fines will be levied, eventually leading to having their vehicles plates, drivers license, or both, suspended. It is up to the account holder to contact ISTHA. ![]() I-Pass account holders have a window of time to contact ISTHA and remedy the violation by having the cost of the unpaid toll deducted from their account balance and can have the $20 fee waived. Once the license plate holders accrue three violations, they will receive a notice of violation from ISTHA with a demand to pay. If the driver does not have funds in the account and are not set up for auto refill on a credit card, the toll will be considered unpaid and a $20 fine will be levied, in addition to the cash rate (non-discounted) cost of the toll. If a driver does not have a transponder in the car, the license plate still registers under the system as being affiliated with an account and, as long as there are funds in the account, the driver will not be in violation, although if more than three instances occur in a month, the discount will not be granted and each subsequent pass without a transponder will result in the cash fee being deducted from the account. Each I-Pass account can register multiple vehicles under the account. If a vehicle registered with I-Pass passes through a toll collection without the transponder, the vehicle will be considered in violation only if the vehicle's license plate is not registered on an I-Pass account. In June 2005, I-Pass became compatible with toll collection on the Chicago Skyway. Starting with a toll rate increase which came into effect on January 1, 2005, a significant discount was granted if an I-Pass was used to pay the toll. Likewise, entering or exiting the tollway system with an I-Pass allows continuous movement through the toll gate, albeit at a decelerated speed of 15 miles per hour (24 km/h). The main advantage to the system was the eventual withdrawal of full-length tollbooths from the tollway system for full-speed open road tolling, while customers paying cash continued to have to slow down onto exit-like automated tollbooths until the spring of 2020. I-Pass transponders can be used at all toll plazas, including those located on entrance and exit ramps. ![]() Easy "On Top of the World" Achievement.Easy "Alexander the great" Achievement. ![]() As always, be sure to check back here soon for more details as soon as they are released. (Picture: The Fun Pimps)Īnd there you have it, a full breakdown of everything we know so far regarding the Alpha 22 build of 7 Days to Die, as well as the possible release date that we can expect for this zombie survival sandbox. As always, stay tuned for more news on the prospective Alpha 22 build of 7 Days to Die. We also have no idea what the story could be and what the conflict between these two sides may stem from, but all in all, it's an exciting prospect to look forward to as it could change the landscape for the fan base of 7 Days to Die dramatically. Now, again these are simply conceptual, and likely very far off since the implementation of a story-driven mode in 7 Days to Die will likely be a challenging feat, especially if players can choose which side they want to join (which might be the case). Reach)Īnd the second is the addition of the new locations, the Dukes Casino and Noahs Compund, of which the former appears to be the base for the new enemies, (The Bandits and the Overlords) while Noahs Compound will serve as the player's base of operations. The mention of two new maps and enemy types leads us to believe a storyline will be added soon. The first piece of evidence for this is the two new character models called the Bandits and the Overlord which appear to be new enemy types in the game. Last but not least, we were shown two main things that point to a brand new storyline for the game. Now it's worth remembering that these are just concepts, but it's great to know that the devs plan on changing the UI that many players have found lackluster at times. Reach)įrom what we've seen it appears to be an almost complete overhaul of the original UI and will feature less grid-like menus and buttons, as well as the addition of the health, hunger, and stamina bars, etc. The UI will also be given a new update that we hope will be easier and more user-friendly. Based on some of the concepts we saw in the live stream, it appears we'll be getting an update to the UI in Alpha 22. Next, we move on to the UI changes, which any 7 Days to Die player knows is exciting since you'll spend hours in the menus and inventories of the game. Overall, we'll just have to wait and see for more news surrounding these new gear items and outfits, but it should be interesting to see how the devs balance these with the existing gear selection. Based on the developer's remarks, there will be new Gear Items added which will provide new and unique perks. The real highlight of what we know so far are the three new character outfits/set pieces introduced in this live stream, the Wasteland Assassin, the Hoarder, and the Desert Gear models.Īccording to the developers in the live stream, each of these outfits will not only have set bonuses, but each set piece will provide you with some unique buffs/perks, such as the Wasteland Assassin granting you possible stealth abilities or buffs, or the Hoarder who may provide you with larger carry weight capacity or even allow you to stack more items. World items and workstations will also be getting reskins and overhauls. This extends to the look at new items in the game as well, as we were shown some examples of new models for crafting stations, writeable storage crates, and event notes and notepads throughout the world, which will likely see some changes as they are developed, but we're glad these items will be getting refreshed in Alpha 22. This new character model will be available for both male and female characters and of course in a variety of skin tones and physiques. Character models may finally get updates in Alpha 22 to many fans' relief. For quite some time now, players have been highlighting how out of date and bad the current models look, but luckily, during the live stream, we got a glimpse of a possible new model with more detailed characteristics and human-like features. One of the most exciting and begged-for features in 7 Days to Die is a new character model. As mentioned previously, during the recent Alpha 21 dev stream, we were given a sneak peek at what we can expect from Alpha 22, though not confirmed, it is a good benchmark for the future of 7 Days to Die. Now we get to the meat of this article, the content and features coming to the game with Alpha 22. 7 Days To Die Alpha 22 Features and Content ![]() ![]() I also went in and removed both of my HomePods from the Home app in an attempt to disconnect them from the system entirely and have them redownload iOS 13.2.1 on reconnecting – that also didn't allow my girlfriend's voice recognition to work. I personally ran into some trouble setting up multi-user voice recognition on HomePod, perhaps because I had installed the now-pulled iOS 13.2 HomePod that was replaced by a 13.2.1 update a few days after – however, I wanted to share how I got it working.įirst, I tried to hard-reset my HomePod by unplugging it, plugging it back in, and holding on the top for about 10 seconds until the light turned red, after which Siri said to "hold until the 3 beeps" which followed immediately after. Plus, actions from apps in the App Store have been given improved capabilities for their Siri Shortcuts, opening those up to interaction on the HomePod as well. Using actions like Ask for Input, Choose From List, and Choose From Menu, users can build layered interactions for their HomePod, customizing how their shortcuts interact mid-run. IOS 13 also brought full scripting support for the Shortcuts app to Siri (both on HomePod, but also iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and AirPods), allowing users to perform multi-step commands and scripting with Siri. Before iOS 13, users were required to record a voice command out loud that they'd then repeat to Siri to have her run the shortcut, but in iOS 13, that extra step is removed and the title of the shortcut is the trigger phrase. ![]() In order to run Siri Shortcut from your HomePod, you only need to trigger Siri and then speak the name of the shortcut in the Shortcuts app. and even my poly MIM Tele.(Can't imagine ANYTHING doing much to Fender standard Poly. Most of the singing also just wasn't very good. Written in the Stars for example fell completely flat. The songs were beautifully choreographed and the lights were really good, so they were a joy to watch, but the content just made little sense? Radames and Aida’s relationship is barely developed, so it all misses urgency. The songs therefore however often didn’t resonate because there was no clear motivation for the characters to sing them (I copied the track list below). So the pacing was somehow both too slow and too quick I guess hahaha. But at the same time every scene felt like it just was a couple of minutes too long. I don’t know how things were in the original, but there was very little dialogue and it felt as though they were trying to rush from song to song as quickly as possible. They changed the story a lot according to my mom and because she is so familiar with the original, she could follow what was happening, but my aunt and I were pretty lost as to what was happening for a long time. From the cast album, it sounded like a very powerful, emotional show, but it was all kinda meh. The show wasn't really worth more than those 29 euros though. However, even though the show's been open for all but 2 weeks, they couldn't fill the seats and we were moved to better seats with parts of the mezzanine blocked off with black curtains. We originally had 4th rank seats with partial view for 29 euros (most expensive I could find was 118 euros for Saturday night premium seats so yeah tickets are much cheaper here). My aunt had also never seen it and didn’t know the music either. I’ve always really liked the music but I didn’t know the story. My mom is a huge fan of the original 2001 Dutch version so I grew up hearing the Dutch and Broadway cast albums. I promised some of you to give a 'review' once I saw it, so here goes. Aida and Radames' love for one another becomes a shining example of true devotion that ultimately transcends the vast cultural differences between their warring nations, heralding a time of unprecedented peace and prosperity. As their forbidden love blossoms, Aida is forced to weigh her heart against the responsibility that she faces as the leader of her people. The RenderBitmap object is used and it renders the target in system level pixels not WPF device independent pixels - important because if the bitmap is used anywhere but WPF you'll want standard fixed pixel sizes. This code is supposed to look at the above code and render it into a bitmap. Private void btnSave_Click( object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) With code that essentially does the following: The rectangle then has a Radius X and Radius Y assigned to create the rounder corners. So the idea is to draw the outer container and fill the container with the rectangle. There are some tricky issues to deal with in the shapes - like a Rectangle - aren't controls, but drawings so they don't act like a container. the parent grid) and then render a rectangle into it at the right size and I'm done. So I figured all I'd have to do is stick a Grid inside of the of the fill container (ie. The DockPanel handles the docking of the controls at the top and the save options on the bottom with the grid making up the fill of the rest of the window DockPanel content. The basic set up is this: The middle section of the form above is a Grid that lives inside of a DockPanel. So, I thought how hard could this be? Well it turns out the concept is very simple, but due to some very unexpected behavior in WPF it too a long time and some help from a friend to figure it out. Even nicer, WPF properly respects transparency when rendering to disk, something that's a real bitch in GDI+ when needing to save to GIF images. So the whole point of this exercise was to see how "easy" it'd be to do this because WPF provides the ability to take any rendered visual and lets render it to a bitmap. Trivial, but actually kinda useful - there are a few similar combinations I'm thinking would be useful: Creating gradients (easier and more trivial), creating shadow images etc. It renders in real time as you type so you see immediately what it looks like. The idea is you type in a width, height, radius and color and it will generate the appropriate rounded bar for you. A few hours later I got it working, but there were a few hiccups along the way. Oh ok, so I have tools that do that shit, but I wanted to see what it takes to do this with WPF. Since it's fairly easy to create images and shapes in WPF I thought I'd create a quick form to created rounded corner bars, because one can never have enogh of those in Web applications. One thing I like about WPF is the fact that you can take just about anything that you render on the canvas and dump it out as a bitmap file. I'm playing around a little today with WPF again. How difficult would it be to mimic the way Hartnell spoke those lines? They are, after all, some of the most iconic lines in Doctor Who history and were actually repeated at the end of the show. So take his attempt at the “One day, I shall come back” speech. I’m not an actor, but if I was and I was doing an impression of William Hartnell, I’d look at the tapes and I’d make sure I got stuff spot on. Again, don’t get me wrong, he was mostly brilliant, and looked and acted like William Hartnell to a scary degree, but then on the other hand, he got things carelessly incorrect. Mark Gatiss will have seen these issues himself after all.Īnyway, on a similar note, one thing that bugged me was David Bradley’s performance. It’s actually making me feel autistic, because I know that it’s a small thing, but it just seems so willfully wrong. You just know that people will notice, so why go out of your way to make things incorrect? I just don’t get it. But again, we’re talking about Doctor Who, one of the most written about shows of all time with some of the most passionate fans. If this was any other TV show, I wouldn’t notice, and I have no doubt that the average viewer neither noticed nor cared. Was it just to get the Menoptera costumes in? Surely it would have been more fun to try to recreate the costumes of the Delegates from MTTU? Similarly, why have Verity Lambert leave during the filming of the Web Planet when the truth was she left after Mission to the Unknown. The thing is though, you would expect Gatiss to get some basic parts right.įor example, you might say I’m being hyper-critical for pointing it out, but having David Bradley hold up the 1965 Doctor Who annual, complete with a picture of a Menoptera on the front, whilst filming the Reign of Terror is just sloppy as far as I’m concerned. It was cool seeing actors dressed as Menoptera or original Cybermen, just like it was good to see some actors cast because of their resemblance to the people they were playing.īut I don’t think you could expect anything less when it’s been so lovingly brought together by a Doctor Who fan like Mark Gatiss. In many ways, An Adventure in Space and Time got it right. I suspect that I might get some flak in my direction for being as nit-picking as I’m going to be, but to me, if you’re going to do nostalgia, do it right.Īs much as I’d love to let the error of having a 1965 Doctor Who annual on display during the filming of the Reign of Terror slide, I just can’t. ![]() If You’re Going To Do Nostalgia, Do It Right So I was happy with it mainly.īut I didn’t think it was as good as it could have been, and here’s why… Well…that and the nostalgic reconstruction of the sets and costumes.Īnd despite being around 90 minutes long, I felt it flew by. Indeed, Raine’s portrayal of Lambert was the main strength of the show. Most of the actors were very well cast, with the star of the show in my opinion being Jessica Raine as Verity Lambert. Yes, it was very enjoyable, and as a piece of TV drama – which I suppose it the point of it rather than a documentary – it hit the spot. While the majority of reviews have given it five stars – indeed I haven’t seen any lower than that – I wouldn’t give it quite as much credit. Naturally, this is not a man who engages in hyperbole oh no.ĭoctor Who – An Adventure in Space and Time Review: Thoughts One particular Superfan – you know who I’m on about, I’m sure – declared that it was the best piece of drama in television history, no less. The show has been broadcast, the reviews are in, and on the whole the thoughts are that it was a resounding success. Other than the main event, the Day of the Doctor, what I’ve been looking forward to is An Adventure in Space and Time, the biopic of the origins of the show and William Hartnell’s tenure as the lead character. It’s Doctor Who Anniversary Week which means there’s plenty of Who related stuff on TV, Radio and in the press. |
